uplifting trans quotes

  • “TYEF Camp has meant the world to me. I have met so many people who are just like me and I have been given great support by the staff at TYEF. This camp helped me feel like I can comfortably be myself and that makes me feel so amazing.” - A 13 year old trans camper

  • "I’ve never been interested in being invisible and erased.” - Laverne Cox

  • “I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.” - Elliot Page

  • “Please, just listen to me, hear me, try to educate yourselves, try to understand everybody.” - Kai Shappley

  • "If I wasn't confident in who I am or didn't like the fact that I was transgender, then I would not have gotten as far as I have today. Also, if you accept yourself, then you'll find that others will accept you as well, and having that support is really reassuring." - Jazz Jennings

trans youth rights

LEGAL RESOURCES

RESTROOMS, LOCKER ROOMS, AND SCHOOL SPORTS

According to President Biden “Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports.” These rights are supported by the Constitution, Title VII, and Title IX. You have the right to access the bathrooms, locker rooms, and school sports of your gender identity.

All of this upholds the May 2016 directive under the Obama administration.

Also look up your state’s laws that protect transgender children, although federal laws override any discriminatory state laws.

Your Authentic Voice

Many trans people find voice training helpful to reach their desired, feminine voice which more accurately represents who they are. Dr Musser offers a great course in all aspects of feminine communication like pitch, resonance, intonation, and more. Check out her content here.
